Various researches conducted had shown that Nigeria produces about 2.5 million barrels of crude oil daily, and it is majorly derived from the Niger Delta regions in the country. The oil resources are generated from 7.5% of the country's land area. The following states are the major and top contributors to the oil production in Nigeria: 1. Akwa-Ibom: This state is among the Niger Delta regions in the country and it is located in the South-Southern area of the country. It makes up to 31.4% of the total oil produced daily. 2.
