Lagos also has the most busiest and major port in Nigeria, which is divided into three sections; Lagos, Apapa and Tincan Ports.

Apapa Seaport.

The seaport is referred to as the busiest port because it handles majority of Nigeria's commodity imports and exports.

The state also has the  biggest trade zone in Nigeria which is the Lekki Free Trade Zone.

The project was executed as a result of the collaboration between the Nigerian and Chinese governments.

It was created to facilitate foreign trade and also eliminate the barriers to international trade.

The zone had attracted investments from billionaires and businessmen both within and outside Nigeria.

The zone has the presence of a Dangote Oil Refinery and fertilizer plant.

It has also brought about the establishment of the $50 million Chinese manufacturing plant known as Longrich Limited.

Lagos is also referred to as the state that operates a 24 hour economy and it's one of the expensive cities in the world.

The economy and environment of Lagos is business friendly such that, even if it's pure water you sell, if you are serious and determined, you will make enough profits from the business.

Lagos is the only state that generates more revenue by itself than the oil producing states in Nigeria.

Despite the economic recession of 2016, it still generated the highest revenue more than other states in the country.
