Yomi’s Bio

Yomi Olugbenro is a Tax Partner at Deloitte Nigeria. He is an alumnus of Manchester Business School and Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).  He is a member of the Board of Taxation and Fiscal Policy Management Faculty of ICAN.

He completed the qualifying examination of ICAN in 1997 as a year-three accounting undergraduate and has acquired extensive professional experience from banking, industry role as CFO of leading organisations and professional practice as auditor and tax advisor.

Yomi has about 15 years of professional experience. More than half of this has been devoted to strategic professional tax practice, advising several international and locally strategic clients. He has led many strategic tax projects involving mergers and acquisitions (M&A), cross-border tax consulting, transfer pricing, tax audit and investigation support and other business tax servicescorporate, expatriates and individual tax compliance services.

Yomi is a regular speaker on tax and accounting issues and has facilitated several trainings both within and outside the country.

Delta State is located in the Southern region of Nigeria. It's capital is Asaba which is located at the northern region of the state. Delta State is known as an oil producing state contributing 21.56-35% of the nation's oil output.
